About Professor Chung-ying Cheng: Professor Cheng graduated from Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, National Taiwan University in 1955. In 1958, he obtained his Master's Degree in Philosophy and Logic at the University of Washington; then he was admitted by Harvard University for further study and obtained the PhD Degree at Harvard University in 1963. Professor Cheng, as a world famous philosopher and one of the representatives of the “Third Generation of the New Confucianists”, now serves as a professor at Department of Philosophy, University of Hawaii. In addition, Professor Cheng concurrently serves as Honorary President of International Society for Chinese Philosophy, President of International Society for the I Ching, President of International Qualification Assessment Committee for World Iching Hierophants, and General Adviser in Environmental Philosophy at International Advisory Committee for Environmental Decision-making and Management (IACEDM).
