主讲人简介:

Berrin Erdogan is Professor of Management at Portland State University (Oregon, USA) and Distinguished Research Professor at the University of Exeter (UK). She studies the role of supportive workplace relationships and person-job fit as predictors of job attitudes, career success, and retention. She published over 70 refereed journal articles and edited book chapters, including in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management. She is a fellow of Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and Association for Psychological Sciences (APS). She is the Editor-in-Chief of Personnel Psychology.

活动简介:

Publishing scholarly articles in influential journals is often challenging, but also highly rewarding. In this talk, I will provide a brief introduction to Personnel Psychology, providing some background information on what makes this journal unique. Further, drawing on my experiences as editor, editorial board member, and author at top management journals, I will discuss my insights on how to navigate the research process successfully. Topics of discussion will include understanding why papers are desk rejected, why they are rejected after a review, revising your paper for a top journal, becoming an effective reviewer, and cultivating habits for a successful research career.
